Your Chakras and You (Part 3)

Sacral Chakra

The 2nd Chakra is Svadihsthana, or Sacral Chakra. This is the chakra connected with sexuality and creativity. It is located around the Lumbar Spine below the Navel.

Associated with the element of water, this Energy Center controls your connection to pleasure, sexuality, creativity, the Divine Feminine, synchronicity, and joy. Svadhisthana translates to “my own sweet abode”.

If your Sacral Chakra is blocked, it can make you feel emotionally and physically weak, depressed, overly sensitive and anxious. You may also experience the following:

• Fear of losing control in relationships

• Obsessive or compulsive behavior

• A disconnection to physical things, such as work or career

Other physical and mental signs may include:

• Extreme mood swings

• Hypersensitivity

• Dissatisfaction with your life

• Fear of pleasure

• Lack of creativity

• Lack of desire

• Insecurity

• Detachment

• Low energy or fatigue

• Low libido

• Kidney issues

• PMS

When you activate the Sacral Chakra, and it is working effectively, you:

• Feel an immense power flow

• Feel balanced, and in harmony with yourself

• Feel deeply connected to all living beings

• Feel emotions flow without judgment

• Feel your creativity

• Experience, positivity and compassion

• Comfortably express your emotional needs and desires.

To activate, unblock, and balance your Sacral Chakra, connect with water - such as a lake or river. Baths or showers can help balance emotions.

Use citrine during meditation to help draw the energy of the flow of water. The Mantra is VWAM. The Mudra used for opening the Sacral Chakra is the Yoni (meaning "womb") Gesture as shown below

Use your affirmations:

“I am passionate”

“I am a creative being”

“I have boundaries that protect me”

“I am fulfilled in my passions”

“I embrace change as a healthy part of life”

“I have an abundance of creativity”

“My emotions are in balance”

Color: Orange (reflective of its connection to rising consciousness -think sunrise- creative expression, intuition, passion, and power)

Corresponding day: Monday

Stone: Citrine

OIl: Patchouli or Jasmine

Don’t forget to practice self-love
